To very big upsets in college football this week. Let's talk about the OSU boys 1st.
Oregon State over USC 27 - 21. That marks the 2nd trip to Oregon State in a row where they were way overmatched and managed to get a win over the mighty Trojans. Throw in the Ducks victory in Eugene over the Trojans last year and they have lost 3 years in a row in my home state. Since the begining of the 2006 season the Trojans are 2-3 against Oregon and Oregon State, they are 20-2 vs the rest of the county. I'll take that any day. Congrats to the Beavers and how can you not be impressed with 5ft 6in Freshman Jacquizz Rodgers rushing for 186 yards. Very impressive.
Ole Miss defeated Florida today 31-30. Big ups to Ole Miss. I went to Ole Miss last week with they boys to do a little gambling in Tunica and catch the Vanderbilt Comodores game with Ole Miss. Let me just say that the Ole Miss fans know how to party and they are great fans. Even wearing my green and yellow ducks gear I was welcomed in and given alcohol, something I never turn down. It was a great time. They had to make a lot of big plays including a blocked PAT late in the 4th quarter to knock off the 4th ranked team in the country.
Great job to both Ole Miss and Oregon State - Upsets of the week. (Michigan beating Wisconsin was a pretty good game also, overcoming a 19 point deficit in the 2nd half isn't easy.)
